High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Myles Turner (vs CHI – $6,100): Needs 29 fantasy points. Turner has been over 40 fantasy points in two of his last three games. He was down to 16 fantasy points in the other contest. He’s earning some trust with his recent play and the Pacers get the Bulls, who are a great matchup. Trust Turner to get the points and rebounds he needs to have a big game. Diagnosis: Matchup is great, the ceiling is high. Can still be inconsistent.

Wendell Carter Jr. (at IND – $5,000): Needs 22.8 fantasy points. Carter Jr has been all over the place, but he has flashed a high ceiling. There’s not a ton to like as far as value goes at the center position and Carter Jr is at a good salary given his potential. He also gets the minutes to produce a big game. The matchup isn’t great. Diagnosis: Tough matchup and inconsistent, but a high ceiling. He’s a risk with a high reward.

Richaun Holmes (vs SAC – $3,800): Needs 17.6 fantasy points. Holmes was up to 29.25 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 2. He’s playing solid enough minutes and doing a bit of everything in those minutes. It’s mainly his defense that is allowing him to go well over value. I’m waiting for his playing time to fall off, but it’s not happening as of yet, so keep riding him until it does happen. Diagnosis: Low-cost, reliable, good ceiling.
