Players costing $6,250 or under

Ricky Rubio (vs SA – $6,200): Needs 28.6 fantasy points. Rubio was up to 39.75 fantasy points against the Heat on Dec. 2. He’s been all over the place this season, but his last two games are good and the Spurs are last against point guards in DK DFS. Furthermore, Rubio averaged 43.4 fantasy points in three games against the Spurs last season. This just appears to be his matchup. Diagnosis: Proven and a great matchup. But is inconsistent.

Dwyane Wade (vs ORL – $5,500): Needs 24.9 fantasy points. I’ve loved Wade over the last couple of weeks and he hasn’t let me down. The minutes will continue to be there and the Magic are a solid matchup. They’re back after a long west coast trip and that can lead to some rust early on. Wade has been great off the bench dating back to last season and can do a bit of everything. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup, good ceiling.

Derrick White (at UTA – $4,200): Needs 19.4 fantasy points. White has been solid in recent contests and continues to get a lot of minutes. The point guard has been a sore spot for the Spurs this season, but it’s White’s job to lose at this point and he’s delivered thus far. The Jazz are a tough matchup, although their defense hasn’t quite rounded into form. Diagnosis: Low-cost option who gets plenty of minutes and can do a bit of everything.
