Players costing over $6,250

LaMarcus Aldridge (at UTA – $7,600): Needs 35.3 fantasy points. Aldridge was at 45 fantasy points against the Blazers on Dec. 2. He’s been all over the place this season. His highs have been high and his lows have been low. The Jazz are a good matchup and we know what Aldridge is capable of. He played well against the Jazz last season, going over 50 fantasy points in two out of three games. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Domantas Sabonis (vs CHI – $7,200): Needs 33.4 fantasy points. Sabonis was down to 22.75 fantasy points against the Kings on Dec. 1. He’s been much better than that this season and you should trust him to bounce back given this matchup. Even with the fired coach boost, Sabonis has played too well this season to think he’ll fall off after one bad game. Diagnosis: I’d still like to see him for more minutes. But this remains a great matchup and he has a high ceiling.

Aaron Gordon (at MIA – $6,900): Needs 31 fantasy points. Gordon has been all over the place this season. His salary has settled into a reasonable spot, but the Heat are a tough matchup. And it’s still tough for me to trust Gordon on a night-to-night basis. That said, he did have 50.5 fantasy points against the Heat on Oct. 17 and had a 50-plus fantasy point game against them last season. Diagnosis: High risk, high reward.
