High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,667

LaMarcus Aldridge (at UTA – $8,000): Needs 32.9 fantasy points. Aldridge had 44.1 fantasy points against the Blazers on Dec. 2. Not too big of a surprise given that he always delivers against the Blazers. Prior to that, he had been struggling, as had the rest of the Spurs. He’s been up-and-down all season, but the Jazz struggle against the position. I don’t have a great read on the Spurs right now, but Aldridge should be reliable. Diagnosis: Matchup is good, but he’s inconsistent.

Domantas Sabonis (vs CHI – $7,700): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. Sabonis had 20.9 fantasy points against the Kings on Dec. 1. He’s better than that and you should expect him to bounce back on Tuesday. Especially with this matchup. The Bulls are weak against the position and Sabonis can put up numbers in a hurry. I wish he would get more minutes, but even in limited minutes, he’s producing big games. Diagnosis: He’ll bounce back and post a strong game given the matchup.

Aaron Gordon (at MIA – $7,400): Needs 30.4 fantasy points. Gordan has 31.7 fantasy points against the Suns, but was held under 24 fantasy points in his two previous games. And 31.7 fantasy points against the Suns isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement. Gordon has been very inconsistent this season and hasn’t shown the ceiling we know he has in a while. He did have 44.2 fantasy points against the Heat on Oct. 17 and is averaging 44.5 fantasy points against them in his last three games. Diagnosis: High risk, good reward.
