Dante Pettis, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Dante Pettis had a breakout performance in Week 12, putting himself on the fantasy football radar by catching four passes for 77 yards and a touchdown in a blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In Week 13, Pettis was once again the brightest spot in a 49ers blowout, posting an even more productive 5/129/2 line.

Right now, Pettis is the most dynamic player on the 49ers, and he’s legitimately looked like the best wide receiver on the team over the past two weeks. Pierre Garcon and Marquise Goodwin both missed Week 13, and it’s unclear if those two wide receivers will be able to play in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos.

Even if one or both of them suit up next week, Pettis has entrenched himself as the No. 1 option for Nick Mullens. He is a superior route-runner to Goodwin, and he’s far more explosive than Garcon at this stage of the former No. 1 wideout’s career.

A second-round pick out of Washington, Pettis looks like the real deal, and he could still post a quality fantasy day in Week 14 against a tough Broncos defense. With an average of nearly 20 yards per reception the season and three touchdowns in his last two games, Pettis could help fantasy owners big-time in the playoffs.
