Josh Allen, QB, Buffalo Bills

If he’s still available, second-round pick Lamar Jackson is still the safest addition for fantasy owners, and the Baltimore Ravens quarterback, who is now 3-0 under center, has been consistently highlighted in waiver wire articles.

As a change-of-pace, fellow rookie signal-caller Josh Allen is a worth a look in fantasy leagues, as he’s a worthy QB2 and streaming option. Allen has a below-average 5:7 TD:INT ratio and is a worse passer than Jackson, but he’s looked nearly as capable of breaking games open on the ground lately.

It seems like Allen has legitimately turned the corner late into his first season in the NFL, as he’s coming off of two of his best games as a passer this year. Allen has found a potential top target in Zay Jones, who has clearly lapped Kelvin Benjamin, arguably one of the worst wide receivers in all of football.

After rushing for 99 yards and a touchdown in a Week 12 win over Jalen Ramsey and the Jacksonville Jaguars, Allen racked up 135 yards on just nine rushing attempts against the Miami Dolphins in Week 13. The former Wyoming standout will get the New York Jets next week, and he could threaten for 100 rushing yards again.
