Breakout fantasy football stars to pick up for Week 14
By Jon Dove
Golden Tate, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
Stats: seven receptions, 85 yards, one touchdown and seven targets
In this previous three games with the Philadelphia Eagles, Golden Tate was only able to total 97 receiving yards. Yesterday, he nearly matched that total in one game against the Washington Redskins.
Tate was finally able to find a rhythm with Carson Wentz. He hauled in all seven of his targets this week.
His struggles since coming to Philadelphia could have forced an owner in your league to drop the veteran receiver. Tate appeared to be out of the mix with Wentz focusing most of his attention toward Zach Ertz and Alshon Jeffery.
The Eagles have a tough schedule coming up which should temper some of the optimism for Tate. However, Philadelphia still features a solid offensive base which and know they are on the outside looking in the playoff race.
With the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans remaining on the schedule the Eagles have an up hill climb. They will need someone like Tate to raise his level of play if they hope to squeeze into the playoffs.
The Eagles offense has looked a little better overall with the emergence of Josh Adams. His ability to effectively run the football has opened things up for the passing attack.
