DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 5, 2018
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,250
Joel Embiid (at TOR – $10,300): Needs 49.3 fantasy points. Embiid has been a bit disappointing in his last two games. One was a tough matchup against the Grizzlies and the other he only played 22 minutes. His minutes will be up in this one and the Raptors are an easier matchup than you may think. They are not good against centers despite having one of the better defenses. Embiid had 54.75 fantasy points against them on Oct. 30. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a great matchup. Reliable at this salary.
Marc Gasol (vs LAC – $8,600): Needs 41.2 fantasy points. Gasol was down to 26.5 fantasy points against the Sixers on Dec. 2. Maybe the lingering injury hindered him, but that would be taking away credit for Embiid. The Clippers are a better matchup as they are undersized (unless Boban enters) and Gasol can hurt them in a variety of ways. He’ll have a bounce-back performance in this one. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back. He had been playing well prior to the Sixers game.
Markieff Morris (at ATL – $6,400): Needs 29.9 fantasy points. There are a lot of great center options on Wednesday. You can’t go wrong with the majority of them. But as a cost-effective option, Morris is strong. He’s at a good price and he’s been delivering big games coming off the bench. Plus, it’s the Hawks. He should have no issues getting points and rebounds in this one. Diagnosis: He’ll deliver given the matchup. Good cost with a high ceiling.
