DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 5, 2018
High Value C
Players costing $6,250 or under
Serge Ibaka (vs PHI – $5,800): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Ibaka has cooled off and was down to 25.75 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Dec. 3. The minutes have continued to be there, which is the good news. His rebounding numbers are down, but his scoring is typically there. He typically plays well against the Sixers and had 36.5 fantasy points against them on Oct. 30. As good as the top centers are, the value centers are not so good. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but he’s cold. And when he’s cold, he stays cold.
Brook Lopez (vs DET – $5,200): Needs 24.9 fantasy points. Lopez was up to 31.75 fantasy points against the Knicks on Dec. 1. Hopefully, he’s settled in after being all over the place in the weeks prior. His highs were high, but his lows were low. The shots are there and he’s rebounding more, which is helping his value. He should be in the paint more given the matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
JaVale McGee (vs SA – $4,800): Needs 23 fantasy points. McGee had 27.5 fantasy points against the Suns on Dec. 2. He’s producing solid outings in limited minutes. He’s averaging 26.6 fantasy points in two games against the Spurs this season. He’s at a good salary and is the best of the value options in my estimation. Diagnosis: Good salary, fairly reliable, good ceiling.
