FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 6, 2018
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Damian Lillard (vs PHO – $10,500): Needs 43.8 fantasy points. Lillard has been over 54 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He was down to 27.2 fantasy points in the fourth game during this stretch, but we’ll chalk that up to an off night. He should have no issue getting whatever he wants against the Suns. But he may not be able to deliver the value he needs as the Blazers will handle their business and get off this losing streak they are on. Diagnosis: Matchup is good, but maybe too good. You have to this game to be close or for Lillard to put up huge numbers in limited minutes to take him.
Kyrie Irving (vs NY – $9,000): Needs 37.6 fantasy points. Irving has been solid during this recent stretch and threw in a 56 fantasy point game for good measure. The Knicks are a great matchup because they are the Knicks. The scoring should be there and he’s become a reliable playmaker throughout this season. This one could turn into a blowout, which would limit his value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a great ceiling and matchup. A blowout could limit him, but that’s the only concern.
Ricky Rubio (vs HOU – $7,200): Needs 30.1 fantasy points. Rubio has been very good in his last two games, going over 32 fantasy points in both contests. The Rockets would appear to be a solid matchup as they still haven’t figured things out on the defensive side of the ball. Not that the Jazz have figured out much on the offensive side. But at least Rubio is putting up solid numbers in all categories. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but playing well and a good matchup.
