High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

James Harden (at UTA – $11,400): Needs 47.3 fantasy points. It’s Harden. He has the highest ceiling on the night because he always has the ball in his hands and unlike the other top stars tonight, he doesn’t have an easy matchup. This game should be competitive and Harden could play up to 40 minutes once again. He needs a big game, but you can count on him to be around 50 fantasy points. Diagnosis: Harden typically delivers. The matchup is tough, but it’s almost impossible for him to fail in Houston’s system.

Donovan Mitchell (vs HOU – $8,500): Needs 35.2 fantasy points. Mitchell has been under 30 fantasy points in his last two games. One was a blowout, so don’t be too concerned by that. He’s still the top offensive player on the team and they’ll need his offense against Houston. Mitchell has a way of raising his game when other stars are on the floor. Diagnosis: Love him on Tuesday due to his scoring, especially with the way Houston’s defense has looked.

Tim Hardaway Jr (at BOS – $7,400): Needs 30.7 fantasy points. Hardaway has been inconsistent this season and now he enters a tough matchup as the Celtics defense has really picked it up. Plus, the Knicks rotation is all over the place this season. But you’ll read plenty about that in the upcoming slides. His value is largely tied to his scoring and he needs big scoring games to justify the salary. I’m not feeling it on Thursday. If CJ McCollum plays, look towards him. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but tough matchup.
