Players costing $6,667 or under

Damyean Dotson (at BOS – $5,800): Needs 24.1 fantasy points. Dotson has been over 30 fantasy points in his last three games. He’s been all over the place this year and the Knicks could pull him out of the rotation at a moments notice. But he’s seemed to have earned the minutes for now. The matchup is tough, which doesn’t work in his favor. Diagnosis: Hot, but tough matchup. I like him more than Hardaway.

Marcus Smart (vs NY – $5,400): Needs 22.4 fantasy points. Smart has been solid since joining the starting lineup and now he has a great matchup. He can do a bit of everything and while I’m waiting for his shooting to cool off, he’ll continue to get great looks next to the players he’s in the lineup with. He always comes up with multiple defense plays, which is the good news. He should contribute on defense on Thursday. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling and matchup.

Kyle Korver (vs HOU – $3,600): Needs 14.9 fantasy points. I still love Korver in Utah because he’s going to continue to get shots in this offense. And he’s a reliable enough shooter to knock them down. His offense could be huge in this game. And it’s not like Houston’s defense is stopping anyone right now. If nothing else, he’ll get you the points he needs to hit value. Diagnosis: Low-cost and will get shots. Trust the shooter.
