FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 6, 2018
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,667
Gordon Hayward (vs NY – $6,400): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. Technically there are no players in the high salary range, but here we are. Don’t worry, I’mm make it up to everyone later. Hayward had 56.8 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Dec. 1. He probably won’t get the minutes to post those kinds of numbers on Thursday, but he’s been looking more like himself over the last month and now he’s found his role coming off the bench. Diagnosis: Reliable and a high ceiling. Even in limited minutes, he can produce.
Joe Ingles (vs HOU – $6,200): Needs 25.4 fantasy points. Ingles was at 34.1 fantasy points against the Spurs on Dec. 4. You know Ingles is going to get his shots, and while he hasn’t shot as well as you’d like this season, the threat is always there. And he chips in with playmaking and defense. He’s hit and miss against this matchup, which is the real concern. Diagnosis: A slight risk, but the Houston defense has not been good and Ingles will get his looks.
Trevor Ariza (at POR – $5,800): Needs 23.7 fantasy points. Ariza had 27.1 fantasy points against the Kings on Dec. 4. With Booker and Warren out of the lineup, Ariza has had to step his game up. He can do it in spots but isn’t exactly a number one option. He’s at a good salary, but the matchup isn’t great as the Blazers will break out of the slump in a big way on Thursday. Still, someone has to produce for the Suns. Diagnosis: Will get the minutes and chances. Reliable if nothing else.
