FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 6, 2018
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,667
Jayson Tatum (vs NY – $7,100): Needs 29.4 fantasy points. The only issue for Tatum will be minutes. As long as he gets enough minutes, he’ll give you at least 30 fantasy points with his scoring and rebounding. But if he plays less than 25 minutes, which has happened multiple times in the last few weeks, he’ll struggle because it means other guys are contributing as well. The matchup is good, but I worry about the minutes. Diagnosis: Great option if you think this game is going to be close.
Al-Farouq Aminu (vs PHO – $5,900): Needs 24.4 fantasy points. Aminu has been over 30 fantasy points in his last three games. I’ve been rolling with Aminu a lot this season because he’s been at a good salary and plays a lot of minutes. But his salary has gone up and this might be a game where the stars carry Portland to an easy win and Aminu doesn’t have much of an impact. But if McCollum doesn’t play, Aminu’s stock goes up. Diagnosis: Typically reliable, but a couple of red flags surrounding this game.
Marcus Morris (vs NY – $5,700): Needs 23.6 fantasy points. Morris has been solid since moving to the starting lineup. His minutes have been down a bit, but only because the Celtic have been blowing teams out. The Knicks are a good team to blowout, which has me concerned about Morris’ value on Thursday. The shots and rebounds should be there if he gets enough minutes. Diagnosis: Salary is solid enough to where he should be reliable.
