1. Wager on the Chiefs -6.5 vs. Baltimore

The danger in betting on this game is that Baltimore really needs a win while the Chiefs would really like one. We’re overlooking that maxim because of Kansas City’s talent advantage. The Ravens might be able to slow Patrick Mahomes down, but they can’t keep him quiet for a full four quarters.

The Ravens will likely try to control the ball by running Lamar Jackson against the Chiefs defense. That might work for a half or so. It’s not going to be enough to keep Baltimore in this game during the second half.

At some point Baltimore is going to be forced to pick up the pace to try to keep up with Kansas City’s scoring. That’s when this game has the potential to get out of hand. The Chiefs don’t have a great defense by any stretch, but they’ll be able to take advantage of Jackson’s inexperience to force turnovers if he is put into obvious passing downs.

Next. Chiefs need to move Travis Benjamin to tight end. dark

The bottom line here is that Andy Reid’s team is 8-3-1 against the spread this year for a reason. They are one of the best offenses in NFL history. The Ravens have a lot of defensive talent, but this group is too difficult to stop. That’s why backing the Chiefs is our top wager of the weekend.
