FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 7, 2018
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Joel Embiid (at DET – $10,700): Needs 47.8 fantasy points. Embiid has been under 43 fantasy points in his last three games. One was due to minutes, the other was the Grizzlies, and the Raptors game he was just bad. Here’s the good news: it’s Embiid against Drummond. We all know Embiid lives in Drummond’s head and turns him into a child. I trust Embiid with my life with this matchup. He’s been over 60 fantasy points in both games against the Pistons this season. Diagnosis: Embiid against Drummond. You know who to roll with.
Nikola Jokic (at CHA – $9,500): Needs 42.4 fantasy points. Jokic had 43.1 fantasy points against the Magic on Dec. 5. He’s been wild this season, hitting value in just 38 percent of games. That’s….dreadful. But we know he has a high ceiling and this is a great matchup as the Hornets frontcourt is weak. This feels like one of this big Jokic games on Friday. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a great matchup. But is very inconsistent.
Steven Adams (at CHI – $7,700): Needs 34.4 fantasy points. You sort of know what you’re getting with Adams at this point. He’s going to be around value and maybe he gets a little higher if Westbrook doesn’t steal so many rebounds. The matchup is good as the Bulls won’t have an answer for him in the paint. Diagnosis: Doesn’t have the ceiling of Jokic or Embiid, but he’s reliable and cost-effective.
