FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 7, 2018
High Value C
Players costing $6,667 or under
Mason Plumlee (at CHA – $5,400): Needs 24.1 fantasy points. Plumlee has been over 25 fantasy points in six of his last seven games. Even in limited minuted, he’s produced some solid outings. He does a bit of everything and has a great matchup on Friday because the Hornets are weak against frontcourt players. He might see some extra minutes given how poorly the Hornets are against players like Plumlee. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Jonas Valanciunas (at BKN – $5,100): Needs 22.8 fantasy points. Valanciunas had 38.6 fantasy points in 18 minutes against the Sixers. We know he can put up big numbers in limited minutes. And this is a good matchup for him as the Nets struggle against opposing centers. His salary has gone higher after the Sixers performance, which is a bad news. Because his minutes are still rather limited. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a great matchup. But minutes are still a concern.
Kevon Looney (at MIL – $4,500): Needs 20.1 fantasy points. Looney has been solid in these last two games since moving to the starting lineup. And he typically plays well against the Bucks, averaging 23.5 fantasy points in his last three games against them. The Warriors are still figuring out their frontcourt rotation, but Looney is getting minutes and it’s easy to shine next to three All-Stars. Diagnosis: Reliable if nothing else.
