High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

DeMar DeRozan (vs LAL – $8,600): Needs 35.6 fantasy points. DeRozan had 48.9 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 5. He’s been good against the Lakers this season, averaging 58 fantasy points in three games against them this season. The scoring numbers are there for him, the rebounds are typically there, and he just needs his teammates to hit shots. At least you know he’ll get his numbers on Thursday. Diagnosis: This has been his matchup this season. Trust him to keep it going.

Jimmy Butler (at DET – $8,100): Needs 33.5 fantasy points. Butler had 55.5 fantasy points against the Raptors on Dec. 5. He’s taken a backseat to Simmons and Embiid since the trade, but he’s at a good salary and we know he’s capable of big games. The Pistons are reeling and the Sixers need a bounce-back performance. Because of that, I expect this to be competitive with Butler picking his game up once again. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Bogdan Bogdanovic (at CLE – $6,800): Needs 28.1 fantasy points. Bogdanovic has been very good since returning to the lineup. He had 28 fantasy points in 21 minutes against the Suns on Dec. 4. The Cavaliers are a good matchup and even though his salary has climbed, he’s still a trustworthy option. At the very least, he’s going to be reliable. But expect more given the matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup and ceiling.
