Players costing $6,250 or under

Jarrett Allen (at NY – $5,800): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. Allen had 35 fantasy points against the Raptors on Friday. He can get a low-end double-double and he chips in with defense. The Knicks are a great matchup for him because they are the Knicks. I do worry about the Knicks energy on the back-to-back. Otherwise, I trust Allen to deliver. Diagnosis: Matchup is good and the talent is there. But circumstances are rough.

Bam Adebayo (at LAC – $5,400): Needs 25.4 fantasy points. Adebayo had 43 fantasy points against the Suns on Friday. With Whiteside out of the lineup, Adebayo was given more run and he delivered. If Whiteside is back, it’s possible that Adebayo can’t crack the lineup again, which is a concern. But if Whiteside doesn’t play, take Adebayo with confidence. Diagnosis: Good circumstances and ceiling.

Mason Plumlee (at ATL – $4,100): Needs 19.3 fantasy points. Plumlee had 22.25 fantasy points against the Hornets on Friday. With Millsap out of the lineup, his minutes may go up a bit. A blowout could lead to some extra playing time as well. He’s been reliable during this stretch and he’s shown a high ceiling. Diagnosis: Reliable, great matchup, good ceiling.
