FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Dec. 8, 2018
High Value C
Players costing $6,667 or under
Jarrett Allen (at NY – $6,300): Needs 28.3 fantasy points. Allen had 35 fantasy points against the Raptors on Friday. He’s typically good for points and rebounds and he boosts his value with his defensive play. The Knicks are a good matchup although I do worry about the Nets energy on the back-to-back and going to OT. That’s really the only concern on Saturday for Allen. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling and matchup. Circumstances could be better.
Mason Plumlee (at ATL – $5,400): Needs 24.2 fantasy points. Plumlee had 23.4 fantasy points against the Hornets on Friday. His minutes might go up a bit with Millsap out of the lineup. His minutes could also go up because this could get ugly early and Plumlee will pick up extra time. He’s been reliable during this stretch and he’s shown a high ceiling. Diagnosis: Reliable, great matchup, good ceiling.
Boban Marjanovic (vs MIA – $5,000): Needs 22.4 fantasy points. There’s always a risk with Boban because there’s a change he doesn’t get off the bench. But when he gets off the bench, he finds a way to deliver. He had 33.1 fantasy points in 14 minutes against the Grizzlies on Dec. 5. If you’re confident that he’ll play over 10 minutes in this game, take him without a worry. But he’s a risk because there’s no guarantee with his playing time. And with no Whiteside, the small ball might hurt him. Diagnosis: High risk, high reward.
