FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Dec. 8, 2018
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Kyrie Irving (at CHI – $9,100): Needs 38.1 fantasy points. Irving had 39.8 fantasy points in 30 minutes against the Knicks on Dec. 6. The matchup is good once again on Saturday. The Bulls are on a back-to-back, which might be an issue as the Celtics may run them out of the building. But the Bulls are supposedly in shape now after all their suicides in practice. Irving will get points and assists, even in limited minutes. Diagnosis: Reliable, great matchup, high ceiling. Blowout is the only concern.
Jamal Murray (at ATL – $7,600): Needs 31.8 fantasy points. Murray had 41.5 fantasy points against the Hornets on Friday. The Nuggets are on a back-to-back, but it’s the Hawks. Even on the back-to-back, and the long east coast road trip, the Nuggets should take care of business in this one. And with Millsap out of the lineup, more opportunities will be there for the rest of the Nuggets offensive talent. Diagnosis: Game will probably be close due to the back-to-back. Which means Murray will deliver in a big way.
De’Aaron Fox (at IND – $7,800): Needs 32.7 fantasy points. Fox had a monster 58.4 fantasy point performance against the Cavaliers on Friday. It was the Cavaliers, so don’t read too much into it. But there’s no denying how well Fox has played this season. The Pacers are a tough matchup, but I’m going to trust Fox in this position. Although my head is telling me Darren Collison will outplay him, I’ll go with my heart. Diagnosis: A slight risk and a tough matchup, but a high ceiling and coming in with a lot of confidence.
