FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Dec. 8, 2018
High Value SG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Justin Holiday (vs BOS – $6,100): Needs 25.1 fantasy points. Holiday was my sneaky pick on Friday and it worked out as he had 35.2 fantasy points against the Thunder. The Celtics are another tough matchup and the circumstances aren’t great with the back-to-back, but Holiday continues to do a bit of everything. And with Markkanen back in the lineup, things are opening up for him a bit more. Diagnosis: I continue to love him due to the minutes he gets and his skillset. Ride the hot hand.
Jordan Clarkson (vs WAS – $5,500): Needs 22.6 fantasy points. The Cavaliers aren’t good, but Clarkson is a talented offensive player who has the green light on every play because he’s Jordan Clarkson. The Wizards are a good matchup as well, since they haven’t played defense all season. Clarkson will continue to get minutes and shots, especially following the trade of George Hill. Salary helps. Diagnosis: Good salary, high ceiling, reliable if nothing else.
Jaylen Brown (at CHI – $4,800): Needs 19.7 fantasy points. Brown has struggled for the majority of this season, but he’s playing well as of late and he’s at a great salary. Plus, it’s the Bulls. They beat the Thunder, but they are on a back-to-back and aren’t a very good team. Trust him to keep playing well and take advantage of this matchup. Diagnosis: Low-cost, reliable, and hot. A nice salary saving option who will deliver.
