West Ham face Crystal Palace at London Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 8. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
After games in the middle of the week, West Ham host Crystal Palace on Saturday at London Stadium. The Hammers are 13th with 18 points in their first 15 games. Crystal Palace are just three points above the relegation zone with 12 points and enter the game in 15th place.
West Ham beat Cardiff 3-1 on Tuesday with Lucas Perez scoring twice off of the bench. It was the second straight win for the Hammers and second game in a row that they scored three goals. It took some time and losing four games to open the season, but Manuel Pellegrini has his team playing much better. The Hammers will look for their third straight win on Saturday and could break into the top half of the table if they win. Marko Arnautovic and Felipe Anderson will be the focus of the Hammers attack on Saturday. Both Arnautovic and Anderson have scored five goals this season.
Crystal Palace lost 3-1 against Brighton on Tuesday. The Eagles have really struggled since the beginning of October. Palace have won only one game since Oct. 1, picking up only five points over that stretch. While Palace are middle of the pack in goals allowed, they cannot score goals consistently. The only club to score fewer goals than Palace this season has been Huddersfield. Palace’s lack of a true striker has really hurt them this season. Wilfried Zaha and Luka Milivojevic have combined to score six of the club’s 11 goals this season. If Palace are going to avoid relegation, they need to start scoring goals.
