Players costing over $6,250

Kawhi Leonard (vs MIL – $9,500): Needs 43.6 fantasy points. Kawhi didn’t play in the earlier season meeting against the Bucks and the Raptors are probably a little angry after somehow losing to the Nets on Dec. 7. I fully expect Kawhi and Giannis to have big games on Sunday as they trade baskets and numbers, Kawhi has turned into a reliable option this season and we know he has a good ceiling. Diagnosis: Could deliver similar numbers to Giannis at a lower salary. Still reliable at this salary.

LaMarcus Aldridge (vs UTA – $7,300): Needs 34.5 fantasy points. Aldridge was down to 27.5 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 7. He had just 25.25 fantasy points against the Jazz on Dec. 4. Aldridge has been more miss than hit this season and I can’t trust him for anything right now. The ceiling is there and the opportunities are typically there, but the salary is too high given his inconsistency. Diagnosis: Tough matchup and just not playing well right now. Proceed with caution.

Pascal Siakam (vs MIL – $6,000): Needs 27.6 fantasy points. I continue to love Siakam and Siakam continues to love my DFS team. At the very least, at this salary, he’s going to give you value. But he’s delivered some big games this season, including a 44 fantasy point effort against the Bucks on Oct. 29. Granted, there was no Kawhi or Giannis in that game. But the matchup remains a good one. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup and ceiling. Take with confidence.
