FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 9, 2018
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Kemba Walker (at NY – $8,900): Needs 37.4 fantasy points. Walker was up to 41.2 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Dec. 7. He had been down a bit before that game, so it’s nice of him to deliver despite a relatively tough matchup. The matchup is much easier on Sunday because it’s the Knicks. And the Knicks are bad. Walker should get his points and assists, although this one might turn ugly. Diagnosis: High ceiling and great matchup. A blowout is in play.
Eric Bledsoe (at TOR – $7,900): Needs 33.2 fantasy points. Bledsoe had just 28.2 fantasy points against the Warriors. He’s been inconsistent this season, but your only other option not listed is Kyle Lowry and he can’t score the basketball right now. Bledsoe is playing better, but I’m honestly not a fan of either player in this matchup. There’s just better value elsewhere. I still like Bledsoe more of the two. Diagnosis: Good ceiling and decent matchup. But rather inconsistent.
Ricky Rubio (at SA – $7,300): Needs 30.7 fantasy points. Rubio had 32.5 fantasy points against the Spurs on Dec. 4. And he did it in 29 minutes. I don’t think the Jazz will blowout the Spurs again, but Utah is playing very well and the Spurs defense is not good. Rubio can hurt them in a variety of ways, and while he’s inconsistent, he’s playing well as of late. Diagnosis: Reliable right now, good ceiling, great matchup.
