FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 9, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Emmanuel Mudiay (vs CHA – $6,000): Needs 25.2 fantasy points. Mudiay struggled against the Nets on Saturday, but just about everyone on the Knicks struggled against the Nets on Saturday. Mudiay will continue to get the opportunities and minutes, but he’s just not all that great and the Knicks rotations are so all over the place that it’s tough to fully trust him, even with the injuries and Frankie Smokes barely playing. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but also a low floor and not reliable. Matchup isn’t bad.
Patty Mills (vs UTA – $3,700): Needs 15.6 fantasy points. Mills had just 11.2 fantasy points against the Jazz on Dec. 4. The Spurs will play better on Sunday than they did in that game, so expect Mills to be better. He’s not a big time player, but the minutes and shots are typically there, which is better than nothing. The matchup is certainly tough. Diagnosis: Low-cost and gets the minutes. Call him reliable at this salary.
Tony Parker (at NY – $3,600): Needs 15.1 fantasy points. Parker has a high ceiling, but also a low floor. And there has rarely been anything in-between in recent weeks. The good news is that he gets the Knicks. And the Knicks will give him a big chance to show off his ceiling. The minutes should be there. Trust the matchup on Sunday. Diagnosis: Always pound the Knicks. Low-cost and will get the minutes and chances.
