High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

DeMar DeRozan (vs UTA – $8,800): Needs 36.2 fantasy points. DeRozan was up to 64.1 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 7. However, he had just 29.9 fantasy points against the Jazz on Dec. 4. The matchup is tough, but the Spurs should be more competitive in this game and DeRozan finding his scoring will be a big reason why. Expect him to bounce back with a solid performance. Diagnosis: A slight risk, but I can’t imagine the Spurs getting blown out again. DeRozan should be reliable.

Donovan Mitchell (at SA – $8,300): Needs 34.2 fantasy points. Mitchell was down to 14.2 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 6. He just didn’t score the basketball, but the Jazz picked him up. He’s still their best perimeter option and we know he’s capable of a big scoring game. Against the Spurs and their defense, the potential is there for him to deliver in a big way. Diagnosis: Struggling a bit, but this game will be close and Mitchell will deliver at least value and probably a bit more.

Tim Hardaway Jr (vs CHA – $7,500): Needs 30.9 fantasy points. Hardaway Jr just hasn’t been good during this recent stretch and his value continues to be too tied to his scoring. The matchup is good on Sunday as the Hornets struggle against opposing perimeter players, but if Hardaway Jr’s shot isn’t falling, he’s not doing much of anything else. The only other option not listed is Khris Middleton and something is definitely up with him that makes him tough to trust and the Raptors are a tough matchup. Diagnosis: Good ceiling and matchup. But cold right now.
