High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jeremy Lamb (at NY – $6,600): Needs 27.2 fantasy points. Lamb had just 14.8 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Dec. 7. Given how well he had been playing leading up to that game, I’m going to chalk it up to an off-night and trust that he’ll bounce back on Sunday. It’s the Knicks. How can he not bounce back? The salary might be a tad too high given his last performance, but the matchup is too enticing. Diagnosis: Should bounce back given the matchup. It’s the Knicks

Malcolm Brogdon (at TOR – $6,200): Needs 25.5 fantasy points. Brogdon has been fairly reliable this season and he’s shown a high ceiling. The scoring and rebounding numbers continue to be there, but his assist numbers have gone down. The matchup is tough, but this is a game where a guy like Brogdon can have an impact. He’s an under the radar player who has been able to step up in the past. Diagnosis: Reliable if nothing else.

Malik Monk (at NY – $3,700): Needs 15.2 fantasy points. Monk’s playing time has been all over the place this season, but it’s gone up a bit in recent games as he begins to play better. He’s not really a risk at this salary and if he gets extra run in the blowout, he’ll provide some scoring. He’s proven to be a solid contributor throughout the season and this feels like a game for him to produce big numbers again. Diagnosis: I like the matchup and Monk’s game. Low-cost if you want to load up elsewhere.
