FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 9, 2018
High Value SF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Rudy Gay (vs UTA – $6,100): Needs 25.3 fantasy points. Gay had just 3.7 fantasy points against the Jazz on Dec. 4. No one on the Spurs played well that night and they are too well-coached to have another flat performance. Their defense won’t be good, but I expect them to show more life on offense. Gay has been solid enough this season and typically gets the minutes to produce a good outing. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling, but the matchup is tough.
Jae Crowder (at SA – $5,500): Needs 22.8 fantasy points. Crowder had 27 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 6, but just 13.6 fantasy points against the Spurs on Dec. 4. He wasn’t needed much in that one, but his minutes will likely be up in this contest as the Spurs make things closer. Crowder usually plays solid minutes and can contribute in multiple areas. I like him in this matchup. Diagnosis: Ceiling isn’t quite as high as Gay’s, but he’s more reliable of the two.
Miles Bridges (at NY – $5,000): Needs 20.7 fantasy points. It’s just easy to pick on the Knicks. You can look at Batum or MKG, but those guys have been all over the place and while Batum may have a higher ceiling than Bridges, I like Bridges more due to his salary and the minutes he should receive. I expect Bridges to get some extra run in this game and if that’s the case, he’ll deliver. Diagnosis: Kind of a gut feeling and calculated risk. Batum is guaranteed to play more minutes if you want to go that route.
