Players costing over $6,667

LaMarcus Aldridge (vs UTA – $8,500): Needs 35.4 fantasy points. Aldridge has been all over the place this season. He had 25.6 fantasy points against the Jazz on Dec. 4. The matchup is tough for him and the numbers simply haven’t been there as of late. He’s not rebounding much because the Spurs don’t get stops and rebounding opportunities. The ceiling is there, but I wouldn’t trust him at this point. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but tough matchup and not playing well.

Serge Ibaka (vs MIL – $6,700): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. Ibaka has cooled off since his hot start and that’s a concern. More of a concern is his minutes being down in recent contests. But this is his matchup. He had 45.3 fantasy points against the Bucks on Oct. 29 and is averaging 37.2 fantasy points in his last four games against the Bucks. Diagnosis: Trending down, but a proven matchup. Still a slight risk based on recent play.

Pascal Siakam (vs MIL – $6,500): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. I like Siakam more than Ibaka at this point because his minutes are guaranteed and he’s rarely let me down this season. He’s hit value in 78 percent of contests and had 47.6 fantasy points against the Bucks on Oct. 29. Just a lot to love about Siakam on Sunday. Diagnosis: It almost feels like a trap that he’s at a lower salary than Ibaka. But I’ll gladly walk into the abandoned house and take my chances given Siakam’s play this season.
