High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Derrick Favors (at SA – $5,300): Needs 22.1 fantasy points. Favors got a big opportunity with Gobert being ejected against the Rockets. He delivered with 41 fantasy points in that game. He had 25 fantasy points against the Spurs on Dec. 4. His minutes are still inconsistent and he hasn’t been great this season, but the salary is good enough and the Spurs are not good. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling and matchup.

Noah Vonleh (vs CHA – $5,100): Needs 21.2 fantasy points. Vonleh had 20.6 fantasy points against the Nets on Saturday. Not a great performance, but he’s always going to give you something. And the Hornets are a good matchup given their struggles against frontcourt players. Vonleh is typically reliable and gets the minutes to produce. Diagnosis: Reliable if nothing else. Don’t expect a big game.

Marvin Williams (at NY – $4,900): Needs 20.4 fantasy points. Williams has been up-and-down in recent contests. He was up to 31 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Dec. 7. If the trend continues, he’ll be down against the Knicks. But it’s the Knicks. And with the minutes Williams typically receives, it tough seeing him underperforming in this game. Trust him to break the trend. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but it’s the Knicks. And Williams has shown a high ceiling this season.
