Defense/Special Teams

Denver Broncos @ San Francisco 49ers – $3600

It was not that long ago that the Denver Broncos defense were making regular appearances in the top part of the defensive rankings. They are back atop it this weekend with a trip to San Francisco. Both Nick Mullens and C.J. Beathard have struggled this season, good news for the Broncos defense. Denver features a pair of outstanding edge rushers and have shown the ability to stifle passing attacks with is. The 49ers do not have much of a passing attack already, so it could get ugly Sunday.

Los Angeles Chargers vs Cincinnati Bengals – $3500

Defenses facing the depleted Bengals offense are going to consistently appear on this list for the remainder of the season. Cincinnati is without Andy Dalton and A.J. Green this week. The Chargers are a top-ten passing defense already, and now have Joey Bosa back in the fold. Los Angeles’ defense should dominate this contest.

Value Defense/Special Teams

New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers – $2700

It was a tough week to find value at the defense spot. The best bet for success outside of the top five are the New Orleans Saints. New Orleans got torched in the first matchup against the Buccaneers. Their defense has been better as of late and they are less than a year removed from being a very good defense. Over the last four weeks, the Saints defense have been the best fantasy unit in the league. A revenge game against the turnover prone Buccaneers offense will keep that ranking high. Not to mention, with the expected conditions being wet and rainy, a team like the Buccaneers that cannot run the ball to save their lives offers even more value for opposing fantasy defenses.
