Jalen Richard, Oakland Raiders vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Although Doug Martin has scored a touchdown in the Oakland Raiders past two games, Jalen Richard looks like the back to own on this team. Not only is Martin dealing with an injury that may have helped influence the Raiders decision to sign former Denver Broncos standout C.J. Anderson, but Richard could have a key role in Week 14.

While the Raiders managed to stay competitive against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs last week, they may not be able to do the same in Week 14 against Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith Schuster, and the hungry Pittsburgh Steelers offense. That could mean serious garbage-time receptions for Richard.

And if they do keep up, Richard could benefit, receiving a quality dose of targets from Derek Carr, who has looked to Richard frequently out of the backfield this season. This has helped the improved Richard earn comparisons to former Jon Gruden favorite Charlie Garner.

Richard had his most productive outing of the season last week, roasting the Chiefs defense for 95 yards on just six carries with three receptions for 31 yards to boot. This season, Richard has hauled in 56 passes, and he could have more PPR value in Week 14 against Pittsburgh.
