Tevin Coleman, Atlanta Falcons at Green Bay Packers

Once a weekly staple at the running back position, Atlanta Falcons standout Tevin Coleman has been anything but a star over the past few weeks. Coleman’s fantasy football production has steeply turned south, along with the overall effectiveness of a 4-8 Falcons team that is last in the NFC South, 14th in points per game, and dead last in yards per carry.

Devonta Freeman has been sorely missed by the Falcons, but the rushing attack’s problems can’t be solely pinned on the talented Coleman.

That said, the former Indiana star has a meager 14 rushing yards on 14 carries in the team’s past two games, but it’s important to note that they came against two of the NFL’s best run defenses. The New Orleans Saints have allowed a league-low 3.5 yards per carry and 75.3 rushing yards per game, and the excellent Baltimore Ravens defense has surrendered just 3.8 yards per carry and 87.3 rushing yards per game as a legitimate top-three run defense

Coleman will face much easier competition in Week 14, as the Green Bay Packers allow 127.8 rushing yards per game and one rushing touchdown per game. Meanwhile, the explosive Coleman used to be a huge fantasy asset who is still averaging about 65 yards from scrimmage per game on the season despite his recent struggles.
