FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 10, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Derrick Rose (at GS – $5,900): Needs 24.7 fantasy points. Rose was up to 45.1 fantasy points against the Blazers on Dec. 8. He drew the start in place of Covington in that game. If Covington is out again, Rose makes for a great bet. Even coming off the bench, Rose continues to get solid minutes and you know the opportunities will be there. He’s been good this season and we know players raise their game against the Warriors. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but a bit of a risk as he’s been inconsistent coming off the bench since the trade.
J.J. Barea (vs ORL – $5,300): Needs 22.2 fantasy points. Barea was down to 16.6 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 8. His minutes aren’t great right now, which is a concern. But he’s always shown the ability to post big numbers in limited minutes. I’m going to trust that his minutes will be up in this one and the Magic are a good matchup to be taken advantage of. Diagnosis: Typically reliable, but minutes are a concern at the moment. Trust the matchup.
Collin Sexton (at MIL – $5,300): Needs 22.2 fantasy points. Sexton was up to 43.6 fantasy points against the Wizards on Dec. 8. It was the Wizards defense, but there’s no denying that Sexton is going to get the minutes and opportunities on this Cavaliers team. The Bucks are a great team, but they could lack some energy after the big win against the Raptors. And the Cavaliers have been scrappy as of late. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling. Minutes and opportunities will be there.
