Players costing $6,667 or under

Bam Adebayo (at LAL – $6,500): Needs 27.3 fantasy points. Adebayo has been playing very well since being moved into the starting lineup in place of Whiteside. As long as Whiteside continues to be out, you can take Adebayo with confidence. The production has always been there when he’s gotten minutes. And the minutes are definitely there right now with Whiteside not playing. The matchup is good. Diagnosis: Salary is climbing, but it’s not quite high enough given how well he’s playing and the matchup.

Marcus Morris (vs NO – $5,500): Needs 23.1 fantasy points. Morris continues to play well in the starting lineup. He had 35.7 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Nov. 26. The points and rebounds are typically there for him. And they’ll be there for him on Monday given the Pelicans lack of overall defense. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling and a great matchup.

JaMychal Green (at DEN – $5,300): Needs 22.2 fantasy points. Green was down to 12.6 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 8. I’m going to trust him to bounce back against the Nuggets. Denver is in some flux right now as they’ve dropped a couple of games they should not have dropped and with Millsap out, their defense isn’t quite as good. Green remains at a good salary. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back given the matchup.

Quick Hits

Daniel Theis ($4,400): If Horford and Baynes are out again, he’ll get the chance for another big game. But the Pelicans are not the Bulls.
