Players costing over $6,667

Clint Capela (vs POR – $9,100): Needs 40.8 fantasy points. Capela hasn’t hit 40 fantasy points in three of his last four games and was down to 28.1 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Dec. 8. And this typically isn’t his matchup. He’s averaging 28.8 fantasy points in his last five games against the Blazers. The minutes and chances will be there, but he’s a slight risk. Diagnosis: Not his matchup and salary is a bit high.

Jusuf Nurkic (at HOU – $9,000): Needs 40.4 fantasy points. Meanwhile, you can grab Nurkic for $100 less and get the same, if not better, value. Nurkic had 56.2 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Dec. 8. He had 38 fantasy points in 24 minutes against the Rockets on Oct. 30. Points and rebounds should be there for him on Tuesday. Diagnosis: Love Nurkic, given his skill and the matchup.

Deandre Ayton (at SA – $6,600): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. Ayton had 45.9 fantasy points against the Clippers on Monday. It was nice of him to show that high ceiling once again and he remains at a reasonable salary. The matchup is better on Tuesday as the Spurs aren’t very good. He’s typically good for scoring and rebounding if nothing else. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
