High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Damian Lillard (at HOU – $10,200): Needs 42.4 fantasy points. Lillard has been red hot as of late and there’ no reason that he won’t continue against the Rockets. The Rockets barely play defense and they certainly won’t be able to slow down Lillard from getting his points and assists in this one. He needs a big game, but I expect him to have a big game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling. Salary might be a tad too high, but I expect Lillard to deliver and it’s a slow night where you can find cheap enough value to make up the difference.

Chris Paul (vs POR – $8,200): Needs 34.1 fantasy points. Paul has been all over the place this season, but he’s settled into a nice salary. He’s usually good for at least 30 fantasy points, which is the good news. And you know the opportunities are going to be there because of the Rockets system. The matchup is a good one as well, as the Blazers struggle against the position. Diagnosis: He’ll get numbers, but may fall short of value.

Kyle Lowry (at LAC – $7,800): Needs 32.4 fantasy points. I don’t know what to make of Lowry right now. But I know it’s not good. The ceiling is still there. And he’s at least getting assists. But he can’t score the basketball at all right now. And that’s kind of an issue. The lid will come off the basket at some point. And when it does, he’ll hit big. Diagnosis: High risk based on recent play, but high reward based on his career.
