High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Eric Gordon (vs POR – $5,100): Needs 21.1 fantasy points. I don’t know what is up with Gordon, but I know it’s not good. He simply can’t score at the moment, which is kind of an issue when you’re supposed to be a scorer off the bench. He continues to get the minutes and the shots, which is at least something. Diagnosis: Ceiling is there, but trusting him right now is a risk. He simply hasn’t produced for the majority of the season.

Danny Green (at LAC – $4,500): Needs 18.6 fantasy points. Green had 30 fantasy points against the Bucks on Dec. 9. He’s going to be an inconsistent player because he doesn’t do anything great, but he does everything well. And this feels like another game where he steps up and deliver a solid outing. Maybe he doesn’t reach 30 fantasy points, but I trust him to at least hit value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Troy Daniels (at SA – $3,700): Needs 15.3 fantasy points. Daniels had 15.2 fantasy points against the Clippers on Monday. The thing with him is that the shots will always be there. He didn’t shoot well against the Clippers, but they won’t stop the Suns from feeding him. And given the Spurs defense, there’s hope that he’s able to bounce back, despite the tough circumstances. Diagnosis: Low-cost, reliable, and opportunities will be there.
