Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders

Stats: 3,434 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, 50 rushing yards, 1 touchdown

When we get down to it in the fantasy playoffs, it’s absolutely about the best matchups we can find. Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders have had a terrible season. What we can take advantage of is Carr’s very opportunistic Week 15 matchup against one of, if not the worst defense in the Cincinnati Bengals.

So what can we expect from Carr and the Raiders after their big win against the Steelers in Week 14? Carr has decent stats for the type of season he has had. Carr is averaging 265 passing yards and one touchdown per game. Let’s assess the amount of points that translates to in the fantasy playoffs. At one point per 25 yards we are looking at around 10.5 points on yards alone.

If Carr can score at least two touchdowns we are looking at another eight points. 18.5 points isn’t the best but this is Carr’s fantasy floor. This is the least amount we are looking to get out of him. Here are some interesting stats about the Cincinnati Bengals defense we need to keep in mind. The Bengals give up 422 total yards and 274 passing yards per game.

Carr is in line to throw for 300 yards and three scores in Week 15. That fantasy point total would be 24 points on Sunday for your quarterback position. If you have a better option then absolutely take it. But for those of us that need to stream a good matchup or maybe trying to decide on which quarterback to play, if you have Carr play him this week and get to that championship game!

Prediction: 300 passing yards, 3 touchdowns
