High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

JaVale McGee (at HOU – $5,800): Needs 26 fantasy points. McGee’s salary is probably too high for what he’s giving you right now. But he typically does a lot in a few minutes and will give you something. He had 39.2 fantasy points in 20 minutes against the Rockets on Oct. 20 if you’re looking for some confidence in him. Diagnosis: Will give you something and has a high ceiling.

Jakob Poeltl (vs LAC – $4,100): Needs 18.4 fantasy points. Poeltl has been up-and-down in recent contests. His minutes have been all over the place as well. He’s shown a high ceiling and gobbles up rebounds when he is in the game, but due to his inconsistent minutes, he’s an inconsistent option. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.

Tyson Chandler (at HOU – $3,900): Needs 17.4 fantasy points. Chandler gets minutes, which is better than nothing. And he’ll chip in with defense and rebounds. He should be able to stay on the floor against the Rockets because he is a good enough defender and the Lakers defense utilizes him well. If you want to save money, he’s a decent enough option. Diagnosis: Low-cost, gets minutes, and finds ways to contribute.
