FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 13, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (at SA – $5,700): Needs 23.8 fantasy points. Alright, get ready for a running theme in the upcoming slides: The Clippers underperformed in a big way against the Raptors because they were coming off a back-to-back where they went to overtime. SAG was one of those underperformers. Don’t read too much into that game for anyone on the Clippers. Trust him to bounce back against a good matchup. Playing time will be there with Williams still out. Diagnosis: Inconsistent because he’s a rookie. But good match and high ceiling.
Jalen Brunson (at PHO – $5,500): Needs 23 fantasy points. Brunson had just 11 fantasy points against the Hawks on Wednesday. It’s a troubling number, but with J.J. Barea likely missing this game and Dennis Smith Jr. already out, the Mavericks are going to need someone at point guard. And Brunson is their best option right now. Truthfully, it means more Doncic, but Brunson will benefit as well. Diagnosis: Circumstances and matchup are good. Was playing well prior to Wednesday.
Derrick White (vs LAC – $4,600): Needs 19.2 fantasy points. White has been over 21 fantasy points in his last two games. As long as he’s the starter, you know he’s going to get the minutes. And he’s in a good system where he’s just going to pick up assists while chipping in defensively and with other areas. He’s not going to deliver a huge game, but as a low-cost option, he’s a solid bet. Diagnosis: Reliable and low-cost.
