Players costing over $6,667

James Harden (vs LAL – $11,500): Needs 47.4 fantasy points. Harden was down to 37.2 fantasy points against the Blazers on Dec. 11. It was Chris Paul’s night to shine, but Harden is typically the one who posts the big game. And this feels like a game where Harden is going to need to go off. The opportunities are always there given the Rockets system. Trust him to be back to form. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

DeMar DeRozan (vs LAC – $9,600): Needs 39.6 fantasy points. DeRozan had just 19.9 fantasy points against the Suns on Dec. 11. Pay no mind that that game. It was against the Suns and the Spurs didn’t need a big game from their stars. Prior to that, DeRozan had been over 48 fantasy points in three straight. That’s the form you should expect him in against the Clippers because he’ll need to be great and have a star performance. Diagnosis: Expect him back over 40 fantasy points and then some.

Luka Doncic (at PHO – $7,400): Needs 30.5 fantasy points. Doncic had 47 fantasy points against the Hawks on Wednesday. He’s shown himself to have a high ceiling this season and I still think the triple-double is going to happen at some point in the near future. The Suns feel like a good bet. The minutes should be there as the Suns will probably make this more competitive since the Mavericks are on a back-to-back. Diagnosis: Reliable, high ceiling, and Suns.
