Miami Dolphins at Minnesota Vikings (-7)

The Miami Dolphins are coming off a miracle. They scored on a hook and lateral play that watched Kenyan Drake score a touchdown past a stumbling Rob Gronkowski. The Dolphins plan on using this momentum to a playoff berth.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings have been circling the drain for a few weeks and saw their offensive coordinator John DeFilippo lose his job. Kirk Cousins looks like an $84 million anchor. The running game just hasn’t been what they expected with Dalvin Cook and Latavius Murray. Adam Thielen is no longer the 100-yard man, as it’s been once in the past five games he actually hit the mark.

Yet, somehow, Vegas is giving the Vikings seven points at home. That’s just too many points for this matchup. The Vikings have the better roster, that’s no doubt, but they haven’t been playing like it all season. It’s now Week 15, so this is who this team is. It’s not a fluke, the Vikings are just average. So are the Dolphins, so giving one team a free touchdown to bet with is the way to go.

Dallas Cowboys at Indianapolis Colts (-3)

This line shows a few things, but most importantly it shows that oddsmakers believe that the Colts and Cowboys are even. That’s interesting since the Cowboys are the hottest team in the NFL winning five in a row, but the Colts did just beat the last hottest team in the NFL when the Texans came to town last week.

The Cowboys watched as Amari Cooper had his best game as a pro to beat the Eagles by himself. He got lucky on the overtime touchdown, but sometimes you need a little luck to win. They are doing this all without Sean Lee, who returned to practice this week. That just adds a superstar to a defense that has been stopping some of the best offenses in the game.

The Colts have beaten most of the teams in front of them, except a down performance against the Jaguars. The problem for them is they haven’t faced the best competition. Their best win besides the Texans is against the Dolphins, who we are not sure are good. I’d say go with the Cowboys because it just seems like the safer bet at this time.
