Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl: Arizona State (7-5) vs. Fresno State (11-2)

Date: Saturday, Dec. 15 | Time: 3:30 p.m. ET | Channel: ABC

The Arizona State Sun Devils no doubt experienced a rollercoaster season under Herm Edwards, winning their first two games, losing four of their next five and then finishing the year by winning four of their next five. Manny Wilkins, Eno Benjamin and N’Keal Harry were great for this team, though it only amounted to a 7-5 record. However, Harry won’t be playing against the Fresno State Bulldogs in the Las Vegas Bowl.

This Fresno State team, moreover, enters this game as one of the most impressive teams in college football that few people are talking about. Entering this game at 11-2 as Mountain West Champion, they have an offense that can score with ease and a defense that has stopped just about anyone this year. Though Edwards has talent still without Harry, I don’t think he has enough to come out on top in this matchup.

Prediction: Arizona State 31, Fresno State 42

Raycom Media Camellia Bowl: Georgia Southern (9-3) vs. Eastern Michigan (7-5)

Date: Saturday, Dec. 15 | Time: 5:30 p.m. ET | Channel: ESPN

The Eastern Michigan Eagles put together some impressive performances throughout 2018. They beat Purdue in their second game of the year and played Buffalo and Northern Illinois tough on the road soon after. There aren’t necessarily any stars for this Eastern Michigan team, but they possess a solid overall group that has proven their ability to compete with most teams in the country in college football.

Unfortunately, the matchup with the Georgia Southern Eagles is the worst thing that Eastern Michigan could hope for in the Camellia Bowl. The biggest weakness for Eastern Michigan this year has been their run defense, which doesn’t exactly bode well for them against the triple-option attack of Georgia Southern. Thus, Georgia Southern should roll (and) run to a big win in this one.

Prediction: Georgia Southern 34, Eastern Michigan 28
