Players costing $6,250 or under

Cody Zeller (vs NY – $4,900): Needs 23.3 fantasy points. Zeller had 31.75 fantasy points against the Knicks on Dec. 9. His salary has climbed, but it’s not high enough compared to what he gives you on most nights. He does a bit of everything and has a good ceiling. Plus, it’s the Knicks. You can count on Zeller to produce a reliable game with this matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Brook Lopez (at CLE – $4,800): Needs 22.9 fantasy points. Lopez has settled into his role and has been very solid during this recent stretch. He was up to 33.75 fantasy points against the Pacers on Dec. 12. The scoring is typically there and he’s chipping in with defense. The Cavaliers are a good matchup because they are the Cavaliers. Lopez will get his. Diagnosis: Reliable and Cavaliers.

Mason Plumlee (vs OKC – $4,300): Needs 20.2 fantasy points. Plumlee drew the start against the Grizzlies and had 32 fantasy points. This is his matchup. He had 29.75 fantasy points against the Thunder on Nov. 24 and has averaged 24/5 fantasy points against them in his last four games. The minutes are typically there and he does his job big defensive numbers along with a handful of points. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a good ceiling.
