High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

Victor Oladipo (at PHI – $8,600): Needs 35.4 fantasy points. Oladipo had 31 fantasy points in 29 minutes in his return to the lineup against the Bucks on Dec. 12. They didn’t need him to have a big game as the Bucks struggling, but he looked comfortable and should be needed more in this matchup. And I don’t trust the Sixers right now with the way they’ve been playing on defense, even if they are at home. Meanwhile, the Pacers are hot. Diagnosis: Good salary and I expect a big game out of him due to the matchup.

CJ McCollum (vs TOR – $7,100): Needs 29.2 fantasy points. CJ was up to 51 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Dec. 12. If you can get 51 fantasy points against the Grizzlies, you’re doing something right, even if no one else is. His value is still largely tied to his scoring, but his scoring is there right now. The matchup could be better, but I just have a bad feeling about Toronto on Friday. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Tim Hardaway Jr (at CHA – $6,900): Needs 28.4 fantasy points. Hardaway Jr has been over 30 fantasy points in his last two games. He had 31.9 fantasy points against the Hornets on Dec. 9. His value is still largely tied to his scoring, but he can chip in in other areas, he’s just inconsistent in doing do. The Hornets are a good matchup as they struggle defensively. This should be an offensive showdown and Hardaway Jr will get his scoring numbers if nothing else. Diagnosis: Solid but unspectacular.
