High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

Giannis Antetokounmpo (at CLE – $12,000): Needs 49.5 fantasy points. Giannis had 31.5 fantasy points against the Pacers after missing a game against the Cavaliers. He didn’t look like himself, but he’s still Giannis. And it’s the Cavaliers. He may not be needed much in this game so I actually like guys like Bledsoe and Brogdon because it should be an easy team win for the Bucks on Friday. But Giannis will get his numbers even in limited minutes. Diagnosis: It’s Giannis against the Cavs. A blowout is possible, which is the concern.

Kevin Durant (at SAC – $10,000): Needs 41.2 fantasy points. Durant had 40.9 fantasy points against the Raptors on Dec. 12. His ceiling is limited when everyone is healthy, but he’s still typically reliable because the scoring is there and he does a bit of everything. I expect the Warriors to come out firing and can’t imagine them playing as poorly as they did against the Raptors. Durant will get his numbers in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable if nothing else.

Paul George (at DEN – $9,600): Needs 39.6 fantasy points. But Paul George is my favorite SF on the night because he’s more than reliable and his ceiling is high since he’s the second and sometimes first option on a star-powered Thunder team. He does a bit of everything and when his shot is falling, his ceiling is one of the best in the league. Diagnosis: Always reliable and has a very high ceiling. Take him with confidence.
