High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Thaddeus Young (at PHI – $6,200): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. Young was up to 60.2 fantasy points against the Bucks on Dec. 12. He’s playing very well right now and has upped his game with Sabonis playing better behind him. He’ll get the minutes against this matchup, which is always a good sign. Until he falls off, I’m going to trust him to deliver. Diagnosis: Red hot, good ceiling, fairly reliable.

Kevin Knox (at CHA – $5,600): Needs 23.6 fantasy points. Knox had 47 fantasy points against the Hornets on Dec. 9. He followed that up with 33.9 fantasy points against the Cavaliers. His minutes have been all over the place this season, but they are up right now and he’s delivering. The rookie inconsistency always worries me, but it doesn’t appear to be there right now. The matchup is good. Diagnosis: As long as the minutes are there, I trust the production will be there.

Marvin Williams (vs NY – $4,900): Needs 20.7 fantasy points. Williams had 28.5 fantasy points against the Pistons on Dec. 12. He gets the minutes and shots and typically chips in with rebounds as well. It’s the Knicks and he had 23.5 fantasy points against them on Dec. 9. If nothing else, at this salary, he’s a very reliable option. And he has a high ceiling if he can get his rebounding going. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling and Knicks.
