High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Russell Westbrook (vs LAC – $11,200): Needs 47.1 fantasy points. Westbrook still isn’t scoring the ball all that well, but he managed 52.8 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Friday. If his scoring comes around, he’ll get back to breaking the system because the rebounds and assists have been there. He’s angry and now he gets to face Patrick Beverly. It feels like he’s either going to have his best game of the season or his absolute worst. I’m not sure there is an in-between for him on Saturday. Diagnosis: Feels like a high risk, high reward situation. But it’s also Westbrook and numbers are rarely an issue.

Kyrie Irving (at DET – $8,800): Needs 37 fantasy points. Irving had 45.5 fantasy points in 24 minutes against the Hawks on Friday. His minutes should be up in this one as the Pistons will hopefully make things competitive. And if they don’t, it’ll likely be because Kyrie goes off with his scoring once again. He’s been great during this win streak and the only issue has been minutes due to blowouts. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling as long as the game is close.

Chris Paul (at MEM – $8,100): Needs 34 fantasy points. Paul has settled in and looks more like the guy we saw for most of last season. That means he’s reliable and if Harden is having a tough night, Paul can step up. The Grizzlies are a rough matchup, but they are on a back-to-back, which should help Houston’s cause. The points and assists will be there for Paul if nothing else. Diagnosis: Reliable and always a chance he has the big game.
